My mother’s salad dressing was magic — she used it to get four children to eat their vegetables. It was so good that I took the recipe with me to college, and eventually, I found myself using it to get my own children to eat their vegetables.

My brother Paul had long-believed there was a business waiting to be built with Mom's dressing, so I had a dinner party to ask my inner circle if it was nuts to give this a whirl. The consensus was "maybe, but don't let that stop you." My friend Jim named Dress It Up that night, my friend Inslee hand-illustrated some gorgeous ladies, and my sister Anne then dressed those ladies in vegetables.

I began sharing the dressing with friends, who then shared it with their friends, and pretty soon I was running a little salad dressing delivery service in the neighborhood. Then, our local Whole Foods caught wind and asked to try it... and now Dress It Up is being delivered to neighborhoods all over the country.

Over the past several years, our passion for quality has taken us from our own table to the plates of thousands of devoted dressing enthusiasts. But our commitment to pure, healthy ingredients, outstanding flavor, and sustainable practices remains firmly in place.
